Cooking club

About

Our cooking club meets monthly, usually on a Saturday or Sunday to cook and enjoy dishes from around the world, connected to the home countries and personal stories and cultures of our members.

Each session is led by a volunteer from the group who chooses a dish they’d like to share, and MIELI Without Borders provides all the ingredients and the space. The club is about more than cooking — it’s a space to connect socially, exchange traditions, and support one another as migrants living in Finland. Everyone is welcome, whether you love cooking, are curious to learn, or simply enjoy sharing a meal together.

Where?

We meet in Tapiola at the Kansalais Toiminnankeskus at Kauppamiehentie 6, 02100 Espoo. The space is close to the Ainoa shopping center and next to the old shopping center, Heikintori.

Communication

We have a Whatsapp group that we use for last minute changes to the schedule, sharing patterns, and informing if we are attending the club. If you want to stay informed about the crochet club, join the WhatsApp group
