Our Crochet Club grew out of the interests and ideas of our community members, who wanted a simple, welcoming space to connect, create, and support one another. For many migrants living in Finland, finding opportunities for social connection can be challenging, and this club was created as a low-threshold way to come together regularly.
Through crocheting, knitting, or other handicrafts, we share time, conversations, and skills while building a sense of belonging. The focus is not on productivity or perfection, but on being together, learning from one another, and offering social support in a relaxed and friendly environment. Everyone is welcome, regardless of crafting experience.
Fall Program 2026
We 2x per month monthly on the 2nd and last Wednesday of the month from 17:00 – 19:00.

Where?
We meet in Oodi on the 3rd floor and find an empty open space on the floor to utilize.
During summer, if the weather is nice we will meet outside, so bring a blanket with you.

Supplies
If you don’t have any supplies and want to join, don’t sweat it. We have plenty of yarn and crochet needles to spare.
No prior experience or skills are needed to participate!
All handicrafts are welcome–not only crochet.
