MIELI Lounais-Suomen mielenterveys ry – Expert in Mental Health and Crisis Work
MIELI Lounais-Suomen mielenterveys ry (MIELI Southwest Finland Mental Health Association) is a local member organization of MIELI ry (MIELI Mental Health Finland) operating in the Southwest Finland region. The association maintains MIELI Kriisikeskus Turku (MIELI Crisis Center Turku), whose mission is to promote mental health and to develop forms of support for various life crisis situations.
Alongside crisis workers and mental health professionals, a group of trained volunteers also take part in the support work.
The Crisis Center also offers several specialised services tailored to the individual needs of different target groups, such as people who have lost a loved one, individuals with a refugee background, survivors of sexual violence, and people who have attempted suicide.
